Pre-School Course
Module 1 and 2 towards Further Education and Training Certificate:
Early Childhood Development NQF Level 4

Outcome:
To extend the Basic Child Care Course and to equip learners to work in a nursery school with children aged 3-6 years. To promote individual and personal growth of each learner. To develop skills and knowledge regarding communication with parents and children

Course Content:

• puppets and storytelling
• Observation, assessment and report writing

Course Duration & Structure:
There are currently two methods of completing this course:
Full time: 6 Months: This entails the learner attending college for lectures every second week Mon – Fri 9am -12pm. The learner will do 120 Hours practical placement experience on the alternate week when he /she do not attend lectures.
Part Time: 10 Months : The learner will attend lectures every Saturday for three hours and 150 Hours of practical placement experience must be completed in the learners own time.

Entry Requirements:
Basic Child Care Course or equivalent

Successful Completion:
On successfully completing this course. You will obtain a recognised National Certificate which gives you a full NQF level  4 qualification.
